You know no one’s immune from rising energy prices when even rival gangs are having trouble making ends meet.

Unfortunately, drive-by shootings are a common occurrence in Southern Los Angeles. But thanks to unreasonable gas prices, two gang members were forced to find alternate transportation — bicycles — to commit the deed.

The two gunmen rolled up on their bikes, fired a few shots at a house’s front porch, and pedaled away. Two residents suffered minor injuries but are in stable condition at a local hospital.

After an extensive search, police were unable to locate the shooters. They have no definitive description of the vehicles used, aside from a seat, two wheels and possibly a basket.
