Used correctly, e-mail can be the greatest communication tool in the office. Used in other ways, it’ll make for some serious regret come Monday morning.
Have you ever sent an e-mail that you wish you hadn’t because of an office party that went a little too wild? Google has released a new Gmail feature that’ll help you avoid those awkward conversations about how you don’t really feel that way about the new employee in accounting.
The add-on, dubbed “Mail Goggles,” forces a user to solve a series of math problems under a certain time limit before allowing any messages to be sent. The problems aren’t terribly complex, but they should be difficult enough to root out those who shouldn’t be e-mailing in the first place.
By default, the add-on only kicks in on weekend nights, but you can alter the settings to apply whenever needed.
