Certain positions are better suited for “bring your kid to work day” than others.
Lt. Jeff Manning of the Louisville, KY, Police Department was recently indicted on one count of criminal facilitation to impersonating a police officer. According to several sources, Manning wasn’t content with allowing his son to ride along with him in the patrol car for a few blocks.
On several occasions Manning brought his son out while on active duty. When needed, he even allowed the son to handcuff suspects. No details were reported as to whether the son was dressed as an officer or in street clothes.
That charge is only a misdemeanor, and the Department has suspended Manning, pending the outcome of the case.
