Revenge: Not the best way to handle getting sacked

If you’ve just been let go from your job, putting a hit out on your boss’s dog isn’t the best way to charm your way back into a company.
As California’s Turlock Golf and Country Club mourns the loss of its beloved grounds-keeping border collie, Franco Aguilar is being held on charges of animal cruelty and burglary.
After Aguilar was laid off from the golf course’s maintenance crew, he came back in the early morning and shot Quinn, the club’s unofficial mascot, with a 12-gauge shotgun. He told police officers he was “mad at his boss” and decided to kill the dog to get back at him.
Club General Manager Michael Blevins says he could understand if Aguilar committed an act of vandalism on the course, “but to take out your aggression on a helpless animal is really sick.”
In addition to being a friendly canine at the club, Quinn was also used to chase away flocks of Canadian geese that would settle near the golf course. Since his death, the club has been using remote control boats to frighten away the birds.
