Snafu of the Week: Dad gives up son’s name for gas card

You can’t put a price tag on family. Unless you’re this guy.

Orlando, FL, native David Partin hasn’t wasted any time in becoming a questionable parent. He’ll be naming his first-born child after a morning radio team in exchange for a gas card.

Surely, it must be for at least a few grand, right? Unfortunately (especially for the child), that’s not the case. Partin’s takeaway is a measly $100 — barely enough to fill up a gas tank once or twice.

Radio hosts Richard Dixon and J. Willoughby were offering the $100 for “the most creative swap” in their latest contest. Partin came up with the idea all his own, and next winter, he’ll be the proud father of Dixon and Willoughby Partin. (Rolls right off the tongue, doesn’t it?)

The hosts will be on hand when the baby is born. As soon as the birth certificate is signed, Partin will be able to collect his $100 prize.
