Talk about business going down the drain

It may seem like your employees are already productive, but are they helping the bottom line even while using the bathroom?
“Earning while going” — it’s the new tactic being implemented by public officials of Musiri, a small town in southern India. Residents are now earning close to a dollar per month by simply using public urinals. (We wish our jobs were that easy.)
The program was launched to promote hygiene for India’s rural areas, where basic sanitation is non-existent for millions of citizens. Since the toilets were installed, there’s been a non-stop line dozens deep of people waiting to relieve themselves for some extra money.
Promoting sanitation is good enough in our book, but there’s another upshot: The ecological sanitation toilets are being used to collect urine so researchers can study the by-product’s efficiency as a crop fertilizer.
