Sitting in a restroom for five hours could earn you enough to buy a really nice house?

New York resident Gokhan Mutlu sued JetBlue $2 million for the honor of residing in a bathroom during his five hour flight. He sued on the grounds of “extreme humiliation.”

He didn’t start the flight in the facilities. When he got to the airport he was told the flight was too full. But a nice flight attendant was willing to sit in the jump seat and give Mutlu the passenger seat.

Mutlu’s comfy accommodations only lasted 90 minutes into the flight. The jump seat wasn’t as comfortable as the flight attendant planned so the pilot told Mutlu he’d have to give up the seat.

But where was Mutlu to go? The pilot told him to go hang out in the bathroom. The jump seat wasn’t an option since it was for crew use only. So, off Mutlu went.

Since the toilet didn’t have a seat belt, he was scared when the plan hit some turbulence. But at least he didn’t have to wait in line to go to the bathroom. And he had plenty of privacy.
